The Outlaws Hit The Rubicon TrailThe Rubicon Trail June 27thThe Wasatch Outlaw Wheelers are planning a big trip to the famous Rubicon Trail near Lake Tahoe Nevada. The plan of attack is Meet at the Trail head camp ground on Ice House Road on Friday night June 27th. Ice house road is about 60 miles to the west and north of the city of Lake Tahoe. We will hit the trail on Saturday morning June 28th and take our time and get to Buck Island Lake for the first night. Then Sunday the 29th we will head for Rubicon Springs and camp sunday night at the springs. This will give us a lot of time to play on the little and big Sluice and then a lot of time to play and swim and cook some good food. Then Monday the 30th we will head off the trail and head for home. We all plan to leave our trail rigs and trailer at the trail end, which is near the middle of Lake Tahoe about 25 miles north of the city of Lake Tahoe, and about 30 miles south of 1-80. The trails end is on the west side of Lake Tahoe. People are planning on trailering a lot of rigs. Eldon's Semis and trailers are all full, and a few other people are trailering their rigs. We are planning on cooking as a group. You and 2-3 of your friends will be grouped together and you will be responsible for cooking one meal for the whole group. Please contact me with the people in your group and the number of people attending, so we all know what is covered. Get rigs to grantsville on Wednesday or the very latest Thursday.
